After renovating our kitchen in 2022, we started experiencing structural damage and concerns. We needed an expert to assess the situation and advise us as to a way forward. I took to Facebook with apprehension and trust issues, due to previous poor workmanship. I received many referrals, for contractors, but Jed Wassyng – Build Worx Projects came highly recommended, but not being sure, I also did contact some of the referrals, as well as scope out previous work that he had carried out before contacting him directly.

THEN WE MET JED, and all trust issues vanished within the first few minutes, as he immediately took the time to come out on a public holiday to assess the situation and informed us, that “this is an accident” waiting to happen, as our roof tiles, trusses and ceiling were under enormous strain, and that as a builder who takes pride in his work, he was not happy to walk away unless he knew the ceiling was safe and secure. Most shops were closed already and so he went searching for support poles to keep the structure in place, and low and behold within an hour there he was securing the area for us, ensuring our safety. In this time, he also contacted John Stuart – Highveld Roofing who also came out on a public holiday to give his expert opinion. Both Jed and John, were more concerned in their approach, rather than trying to secure the deal. We asked Jed for a quote and true to his word, he delivered on his promise of sending it first thing in the morning.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we could not start the job immediately, and in this time (total of four months) Jed never put pressure on us, nor did he ask if he could collect the support poles on loan, and although it was so many months later, he also honoured his original quote.

Jed and his dynamic team, started on the 1st of July, and the mammoth task was completed within a week. Build Worx Projects is not only managed by a man who takes his clients safety into consideration, but he has a team whose workmanship is of the highest standard. They worked hard each and every day to ensure the project was completed with absolute perfection, and each and every day, his team would ensure that the rubble was removed and that the area was cleaned. Both Build Worx and Highveld Roofing have teams, that are hardworking and dedicated.

Jed, John and Tyron almost felt like family within that week, as they were always on-site supervising and managing their teams.
